Compare Performance
Across Any Dimension
Which platforms convert best? Which countries? What time of day?
Segment your sessions by platform, country, engagement depth, or hour - and compare conversion rates across each dimension.
Four Ways to Slice Your Data
Each segment type gives you a different perspective on session performance.
Platform
iOS vs Android vs Web
Compare conversion rates across platforms. Find out if iOS users convert better than Android, or if web sessions outperform mobile.
Country
Geographic performance
See which countries have the highest conversion rates. Prioritize markets and identify regions that need attention.
Events/Session
Engagement depth
Compare conversion rates by session engagement. Do sessions with more events convert better? Find the "engagement sweet spot."
Hour
Time-of-day patterns
Discover when sessions convert best. Morning, afternoon, or evening? Optimize push notification timing and campaign schedules.

Bar charts and color-coded tables make it easy to spot winners and losers.
Conversion Rate by Platform
Which platform converts best?
π‘ Insight: iOS sessions convert at nearly 2x the rate of Android. Investigate the Android experience - is there friction in the checkout flow?

Session-Based Segments
All segment analysis is based on sessions, not users. Here's what that means.
β What We Can Tell You
- β’ iOS sessions convert at 15.2%
- β’ Sessions from the US convert better than sessions from Germany
- β’ Evening sessions have higher conversion rates
- β’ Sessions with 10+ events convert 3x better than sessions with 1-5 events
β What We Can't Tell You
- β’ Whether iOS users also use Android
- β’ If a user travels between countries
- β’ Lifetime value of a specific user
- β’ Cross-session user journeys
Why This Matters
Session-based segments give you actionable insights without tracking individuals. You can optimize your iOS experience, target high-converting countries, and time your campaignsβall without needing to identify or track specific users.
What You Can Do With Segments
Platform Prioritization
If iOS converts at 2x Android, investigate why. Is the Android checkout flow harder? Are there performance issues? Prioritize engineering effort based on conversion impact.
Market Expansion Decisions
See which countries have the highest conversion rates. If Germany converts at 12% but France at 4%, consider why. Localization issues? Payment methods? Cultural fit?
Campaign Timing
If evening sessions (7-10 PM) convert at 2x the rate of morning sessions, schedule your push notifications and marketing campaigns for peak hours.
Engagement Optimization
If sessions with 10+ events convert at 3x the rate of shallow sessions, focus on getting users past the first few interactions. Guide them deeper.
Frequently Asked Questions
What segments can I compare?
+
You can compare four segment types: Platform (iOS, Android, Web), Country (geographic distribution), Events/Session (engagement depth), and Hour (time-of-day patterns). Each segment shows conversion rates, session counts, and trends over time.
How are conversion rates calculated?
+
Conversion rates are calculated per session, not per user. For each segment (e.g., "iOS"), we count how many sessions in that segment performed your selected conversion events. This is session-based measurement, which may show lower rates than user-based tools.
Can I see trends over time?
+
Yes. The breakdown table shows conversion rates for each segment across daily, weekly, or monthly periods. Color coding shows rates above average (green) or below average (red) so you can spot trends quickly.
What is Events/Session?
+
Events/Session groups sessions by engagement depth - how many events occurred in each session. For example, sessions with 1-5 events vs 6-10 events vs 11+ events. This helps you understand if more engaged sessions convert better.
Do you track users across segments?
+
No. All segment analysis is session-based. We don't know if sessions on iOS and Android are from the same person - we only know each session's platform. This is privacy by design.
How do I use this to improve my app?
+
Find your best-performing segments (highest conversion rates) and understand what makes them successful. If iOS converts at 15% but Android at 8%, investigate the Android experience. If evening sessions convert best, consider timing for push notifications.
