Five numbers for any date range

Events
Every event your app sent in the period.
Event types
How many distinct event names arrived, such as purchase_completed or signup_started.
Sessions
How many sessions sent events. Each session has its own random ID, replaced every two hours and on each launch.
Average session length
The time between the first and the last event of a session, averaged.
Countries
How many countries the sessions came from, looked up from the IP address, which is then discarded.
Live, and over time
What is happening now, and how it moved over the period.

What does the overview show?
Total events, the number of distinct event names, countries, sessions and average session length for the dates you pick; charts of events and sessions per day, events by type and top countries; a live count of the last 30 minutes; and a world map.
What counts as a session?
A run of activity in your app under one random session ID. The SDK replaces the ID every two hours and on each launch, and sessions are never linked to each other.
How quickly do events show up?
In near real time. The live bar counts the events of the last 30 minutes and shows the latest event names, and the charts include new events as they arrive.
Where does the country come from?
From the IP address the event arrives from, looked up on the server. The IP address is then discarded; it is never stored.
