Frequently Asked Questions

What is an iOS App Store Privacy Label?
An iOS App Store Privacy Label (also called privacy nutrition label) is a disclosure that appears on your app's App Store page showing what data your app collects and how it's used. Apple requires all apps to provide this information since December 2020.
What is a PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy file?
PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy is Apple's privacy manifest file that declares what data your app and its SDKs collect. Starting in Spring 2024, Apple requires this file for apps using certain APIs or third-party SDKs. This tool generates the file for you based on your selections.
Do I need to declare data collected by third-party SDKs?
Yes. You're responsible for declaring all data collected by your app, including data collected by third-party SDKs (analytics, crash reporting, advertising, etc.). Check your SDK documentation or contact the SDK provider directly. Apple's Privacy Manifest documentation explains how SDKs should declare their data collection.
